Authorities say they confiscated guns, ammunition, cocaine and fentanyl when they executed a search warrant at a Binghamton site owned by the Volunteers of America.

A police task force reported 42-year-old Steven Cole, who lived in an apartment at 320 Chenango Street on the city's North Side, faces 16 felony drug and weapon possession counts.

Investigators said they confiscated a loaded handgun, an illegally-possessed long gun and several rounds of ammunition in Tuesday's raid.

They also found $3,200 in suspected drug sales proceed, brass knuckles and a switchblade knife.

Cole was arraigned in Binghamton City Court and sent to Broome County Jail.

A Volunteers of America program manager in Binghamton declined to comment on the raid and the arrest, referring an inquiry to the agency's Rochester office.

Broome County records show the property is owned by Volunteers of America of Western New York.
