Ronnie Coleman is a known face in bodybuilding. Despite being retired, the ace bodybuilder continues to dominate the stage like no other. Winning the Mr. Olympia title eight consecutive times, he is undeniably the King of the sport. The titles and awards that Coleman has earned are countless. However, it’s just not the titles that have earned Ronnie a name.

Ronnie and his struggle with multiple surgeries is a known fact. The legend also does not sigh away from speaking about his medical struggles. Opening up on his 2016 back surgery, the bodybuilder sits for a talk with M&S.

Ronnie  is a tough sport. The courage he displays to push back all the adversaries and brave forward is exemplary. Despite his repeated hospital visits, he made it a point to bounce back. Thus, the most obvious question asked during the  interview  was,  “when you think you’ll be back in the gym?”

Talking about his recovery and gym joining plans, he says,  “it can be anywhere from three to six months.”  Drawing reference to his last surgery, he says he just “ took three months off.”  Time and again, Ronnie has opened up about how he had to undergo multiple surgeries only because the previous ones were unsuccessful.

Like many other times, he had to undergo the 2016 back surgery because, during his last surgery, the screws that were placed ended up breaking. Explaining it, the bodybuilder quotes,  “they weren’t made for a guy as big as me.” , With measurements of 58 inches chest, 36 inches waist, 24 inches biceps, 22 inches calves, 36 inches thighs, an Off-Season weight of 150 kg or 330 pounds, the 5 ft 11-inch winner of 26 IFBB professional titles, Ronnie, boosts an enormous physique.

Ronnie loves his workout sessions. Keeping his fans motivated, the legend frequently hits the gym with a smile. However, the pain behind those smiles often goes unseen. With 13 surgeries, Ronnie’s endurance of pain was often tested. But it’s not just the pain and the arduous recovery but also the financial heat.

Sharing his expenses, Ronnie  says,  “ Every surgery I’ve had done was like $300,000 to $500,000 .” Ronnie claims to have spent more than 2 million on surgery but failed because of doctors. His last three surgeries cost him a lot, as he says it was “ almost $2 million. ”

However, refusing to bow down so easily, Ronnie can be seen hitting the gym with all his passion. The dedication that he displays to the sport is exceptional. Despite all the adversaries, he tries his best to hit the gym. Something that his fans adore.
